Guidelines

There is no rigid sequence to explore this environment. You can do it the way you want. However, make sure to:

– fill the registration form before starting the activities. It is also available in Word and PDF formats in REGISTER YOURSELF. Submit your data directly or through e-mail;

– read the introduction of the HYBRID NARRATIVES (Brief history of the researchs). Access them clicking over the titles of the narratives in the menu;

– read the group of texts of each narrative (there are five texts of “The women of Minas Gerais and the ash soap” and four texts of “Mr. Zé, Mrs. Ná and the orange wine”);

– carry out the 11 ACTIVITIES proposed.

– read the texts on the NATURE OF KNOWLEDGE.

– fill the final questionnaire and send it. Word and PDF versions are also available in YOUR OPINION.T

The Science in the Community is an environment created for research and teachers’ education to work with  local cultural knowledges for scientific education, with the following objectives:

a) to share knowledge with pre- and in-service teachers to carry out skills to read, analyze and interprete the local cultural knowledges and understand the nature of human knowledge;

b) to establish a communication channel for dissemination of resources and teaching experiences at the interface between science education, communities and cultures;

c) to investigate and propose educative practices for teachers and their theoretical approaches using the internet.
